What we do
BuyMyFlightPass is an independent travel-access marketplace. We connect frequent travelers with verified airline employees who are willing to designate them as travel companions under the employee's non-revenue travel benefit program. Companions fly on a standby, space-available basis and pay only government taxes and fees on each flight rather than the commercial fare.
We are not an airline. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline, hotel brand, credit card company, or other travel brand. We do not sell airline tickets, and we cannot guarantee a seat on any specific flight — standby travel always depends on seat availability.
Who our service is for
Our service is built for flexible, frequent travelers — entrepreneurs, remote workers, creators, and anyone who flies often and can travel on a standby basis. If you need guaranteed seats for time-critical trips (weddings, business meetings with fixed dates, tight connections), standby travel is not the right tool for those trips, and we say so plainly throughout our site.
How we work
Access is application-based. We review each application and only make an introduction when we believe there is a safe, professional fit between the traveler and the airline employee. Not every applicant is accepted. Both sides complete documentation before any travel access is activated, and pricing is discussed transparently after review — there is no upfront cost to apply.
Our commitment to transparency
- Standby means standby: seats are assigned from unsold inventory and are never guaranteed.
- Travel access depends on the sponsoring employee remaining employed and in good standing with their airline.
- We disclose risks and limitations before you pay anything.
- We publish our compliance and transparency statement, refund policy, and a detailed FAQ.
